Steve Hayes lab member. 9th year Ph.D. Candidate, University of Nevada-Reno. 9 years experience delivering ACT. Graduation date: December 2008.
I have nine years of clinical experience with other third wave behavioral therapies e.g., DBT and FAP. I have delivered mindfulness-based CBT and ACT/FAP/DBT to both adult and adolescent populations (spanning clients within state run government-based Medicaid waiver programs, community mental health agencies, non-profit social service agencies, university counseling center, for profit wellness programs, NIH and HCAP grants, and the Veterans Administration) from 1999-current.
I have a great deal of experience serving in executive management positions across agencies and particularly enjoy slices of meta-level management such as understanding and implementing marketing/principles of human behavior and motivation, and spearheading program creation and development. Additionally, I enjoy teaching and have served as instructor for nine courses across the University of Nevada-Reno and Truckee Meadows Community College.
Personal interests include astro-archaeology, physics, paleoanthropology, astronomy, literature/writing fiction, reading non-fiction, antiquing, and training dogs.
