  • 2-Day ACT Workshop with Robyn Walser, Minneapolis VA Medical Center.
    Study and consultation group with colleagues, weekly for about 2 years.
    ACT workshops at AABT in 2003 & 2004.
    ACT Summer Institutes I & II, including presenter at ASI-II.
    2-Day "Advanced" Experiential Workshop with Kelly Wilson at ASI-II.
    Co-leader for 2-Day ACT Workshop and 6-month Seminar/Supervision group with interns, post-doc fellows, and staff, Minneapolis VAMC.
    Provide individual and group supervision to interns/fellows in ACT.
    Extensive training and experience with providing treatment, teaching, and superivision in other 3rd Wave therapies, including DBT and MBSR.

  • ACT Experience

I began studying ACT about 4 years ago. ACT/RFT/functional contextualism has become my model for understanding behavior and working with patients for at least the last 3 years.

  • Specialties

My greatest experience is in treatment of depression and anxiety disorders. I am also developing treatment protocols for treating health-related problems, particularly obesity.

Very diverse veteran population, most with multiple problems, including some combination of Axis I, Axis II, substance use, medical problems (diabetes, obesity, chronic pain, cardiovascular problems, HIV, transplant)
