I first became acquainted with ACT in 1999 via my clinical work in mindfulness during my doctoral work. I recently had the good fortune to pursue my ACT interest further when I attended the 2-day experiential workshop and the 2005 Summer Institute in Philadelphia. I have also attended a variety of workshops at AABT/ABCT. However, I would not describe myself as an "ACT Therapist" as such because I still regard myself as very much a neophyte.
I have applied ACT in primary care, anxiety d/o's and in a pain clinic. Also, in primary care graduate student supervision.
