  • I am a physician specialized in internal medicine and addiction medicine and doing research in addiction medicine. I am based at the Johns Hopkins University School of medicine, Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit, a division of Psychiatry. I was introduced to the work of the Mind and Life Institute in 2005, as well as the work of Caokyi Nyima Rinpoche "Medicine and Compassion". Since then I started to develop a (almost) daily meditation practice (still a beginner... don't ask for too much!), have been ordering more books than I can read etc...
    I hope to devote my next 20 years (or what's left of my career) to implement mindfulness for the treatment of addiction disorders. As PTSD as it is THE big diagnosis that prevents people from moving forward in treatment, as part of my exploration, I stumbled on ACT, and felt the PANG of hitting the jackpot...
