Oregon Introductory ACT Experiential Workshop
The format and content of the workshop will generally adhere to the design of the weekend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy workshops conducted by Dr. Stephen Hayes, and will be largely based on the book: Steven C. Hayes, Kirk D. Strosahl, Kelley Wilson (1999). Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: An Experiential Approach to Behavior Change. New York: The Guildford Press.
The workshop is being presented as an opportunity for professionals to be able to experientially contact the acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) approach. A considerable portion of the workshop is expected to be experiential. The remainder will be interspersed with introduction of concepts and theory where necessary.
Fee: Students: $200. Professionals: $400. Please note that the workshop is residential (no exceptions) and the fee includes boarding and lodging.
