Caring for PTSD in Primary Care

Sep 19 2008 - 8:30am
Sep 19 2008 - 4:30pm

This will be a one-day training by Kevin Polk, Ph.D. sponsored by the Cabin Creek Health Systems in West Virginia. It will be an introduction to ACT, including 3-Minute ACT for Primary Care Settings. The goal is to show how ACT can be used as an overarching view of PTSD treatment (getting people back into life) that can be started in primary care, and then be augmented with more intensive ACT (or even other PTSD-specific treaments like Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy or EMDR) in mental health care settings.
