This is a handout I developed to introduce clients to self-as-context vis-a-vis the bus metaphor. It works nicely so far, and functions partly to increase willingness of folks to participate in "the bus" as an experiential exercise in group therapy or "taking your mind for a walk" type of stuff in individual sessions.
Feel free to use this in your own work. While no idea is truly original, and the content of the handout is of course borrowed, I will take credit for doing this drawing in microsoft paint, for what it's worth! :)
The handout is attached in Word format. Remember that you need to be logged in to a paid ACBS member account see any attachments on this site.
Enjoy!

An additional question for The Bus
John,
Another question that Jerold thought up is: "Who is driving your bus?"
That is usually the first question we ask when we do the follow-up call after the weeklong cohort. The answer is either "me" or "my mind." Then we can follow-up that question with, "Where have (YOU or your Mind) been driving the bus?"
As you can see the WHO question gets at Self-as-Context and the WHERE question is more in the direction of Let Go and Get Moving.
