Amy Murrell and I will be conducting an experiential workshop at Camp Sister Spirit July 25-27. Camp Sister Spirit about 1.5 hours north of New Orleans, La. All lodging and meals will be included in the workshop fees. The workshop is intended to be hyper, super, mega advanced in nature. This workshop will be open to all students and for professionals with little (or even no) prior exposure to ACT. Given the way we teach, building ACT from the ground up, participants at all levels of familiarity with ACT will benefit. Thus, the workshop will be very, very theoretically, based and applied in orientation. Several people who have attended multiple workshops with various trainers have commented that what we have been typically doing could be considered advanced, or at least intermediate. We plan to keep the same format, with the intention that people leave knowing in detail what ACT looks like - as well as what it feels like - in session (and in life, more generally). Participants in this workshop will be more actively involved in applying theory. Participants will be encouraged to process their own behavior as well as the behavior of other participants from a functional contextual perspective. The cost is $150 for students and $200 for professionals; although, there will be a discount for payment before July 10. Please email me backchannel at ljrogers@olemiss.edu if you are interested in attending, or just want more information. Thanks!
