This once monthly teleclass will meet on Thursdays, beginning June 19, at 6:00 p.m. EASTERN (last one, Sept. 30). The initial session will outline a protocol that can be adapted in length. Other sessions will continue protocol discussion and allow participants to tailor content and discussions to their settings and interests. ACT processes will be integrated into discussions and also looked at through the ACT model developed by Drs. Polk and Hambright. For more on the "actView" presented in May at the Summer Institute visit Dr. Polk's ACBS blog page. Email communications between participants and Drs. Polk and Aptaker are welcomed. ACT is Groups is Addictive

I am just adding a bit to Pat's comments. As many of you know, the majority of my ACT work has been in groups (about 2000 of them). Group work allows you to see ACT processes in action and it is very, very rewarding. There is a real synergy that can get going in ACT groups among the members and the therapist. My colleague, Dr. Hambright, and I have simply come up with more and more streamlined ways of getting the ACT process started in the first 20 minutes that the group starts.

So if you want to add a real treat to your practice, then assemble a group and start doing ACT with them.
