Core ACT Processes and their Techniques- series of 6 workshops with Mary Sawyer in Sydney

In this series of 6 classes, participants will be introduced to and will practice the main techniques used in each of the six ACT core therapeutic processes: Acceptance, Experiential Aviodance, Cognitive defusion, Being Present in the moment, Self as Context and Defining Valued directions. Participants may choose to attend one or all of the sessions in service of the development of their competent ACT practice. (Places are limited to 20 participants per session to maximise practical experience in the session)

These sessions will take place on various Saturday mornings, approx One session / One process per month. You can join the group at any time throughout the year.

23 Feb. - Developing willingness/ Acceptance
8 Mar. - Undermining Cognitive Defusion and experiential avoidance
12 Apr. - Contacting the present moment
3 May - Self as Context vs Self as Content
19 July - Building patterns of Committed action
16 Aug. - Determining Valued Directions
