How can information processing biases (attentional, interpetive & retrieval) be accounted for by Relational Frame Theory? Furthermore, how would one go about researching this? Could sensitization be involved?
Jos F. Brosschot (2002) claims that information processing biases can be seen as instances of cognitive sensitization in the network. He takes Bower's (1981) network model of emotional processing as an example. Brosschot states that in Bower's model, information processing biases are seen as the result of a too strongly or too easily activated network. Brosschot claims that a too strongly or too easily activated network is a sensitized network.
If relational frames are networks, could it be that information processing biases are instances of sensitization in the relational frame network?
