End: Jul 13 2008 - 7:00pm

This is the introductory acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) workshop that is being presented as an opportunity primarily for professionals to be able to experientially contact the ACT approach. A considerable portion of the workshop is expected to be experiential. The remainder will be interspersed with introduction of concepts and theory where necessary. The format and content of the workshop will generally adhere to the design of the weekend ACT workshops conducted by Dr. Stephen Hayes, and will be largely based on the book: Steven C. Hayes, Kirk D. Strosahl, Kelley Wilson (1999).

Amy Murrell and I will be conducting an experiential workshop at Camp Sister Spirit July 25-27. Camp Sister Spirit about 1.5 hours north of New Orleans, La. All lodging and meals will be included in the workshop fees. The workshop is intended to be hyper, super, mega advanced in nature. This workshop will be open to all students and for professionals with little (or even no) prior exposure to ACT.
