This event will be held at the Shoreline Conference Center in North East Seattle. The workshop will focus on the ACT hexaflex model, it's relationship to mindfulness processes, and how to bring mindfulness processes to bear in the context of therapeutic interactions. Some didactic material will be used; however, the predominant mode will be experiential. This will be a skill building workshop. Please download registration materials below. Il Prof. G. Presti, il Dott. G. Miselli e l'ACT Study Group (http://www.act-italia.org) inaugureranno il ciclo formativo Italiano 2008 sull'ACT con due giornate intensive di workshop introduttivo il giovedì 12 e venerdì 13 Giugno 2008.

Il duplice evento formativo fornirà ai partecipanti sia le competenze teoriche (Workshop Teorico, 12/06) sia l'occasione per fare esperienza diretta (Workshop Esperienziale, 13/06) dell'ACT.

Gli eventi sono inoltre propedeutici alla formazione avanzata di respiro internazionale che si svolgerà nell'autunno 2008.

This no cost hour meeting will provide a brief overview of ACT, a presentation on the "actView" for learning ACT, and a preview of the 6 session teleclass. Please note that the original posted dates for the series have been changed. This six session telephone series (starting in June and running through September, 2008) is designed for the new and intermediate ACT clinician and clinicians who want to also learn about Drs.

This 1.5-day introductory workshop will familiarize
attendees with the basic underlying philosophy
and theoretical foundation of ACT. Functional
Contextualism, and Relation Frame Theory will
be introduced. The body of the workshop will
include six core components of ACT:
Acceptance, Cognitive Defusion, Contact with
the Present, Self-as-context, Values, and
Committed Action. Interactive self-reflective and
experiential exercises will be used to
facilitate learning.
