This is the introductory acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) workshop that is being presented as an opportunity primarily for professionals to be able to experientially contact the ACT approach. A considerable portion of the workshop is expected to be experiential. The remainder will be interspersed with introduction of concepts and theory where necessary. The format and content of the workshop will generally adhere to the design of the weekend ACT workshops conducted by Dr. Stephen Hayes, and will be largely based on the book: Steven C. Hayes, Kirk D. Strosahl, Kelley Wilson (1999).
