This introductory workshop outlines the application of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, pronounced as one word) for persons suffering from any of the major anxiety disorders. ACT is a newer third-generation behavior therapy that balances mindfulness and acceptance processes with commitment and behavior change processes.

Dr. Robyn Walser will teach this group over six months. Her style is flexible, engaging and informative. The group will meet for one hour (with the initial session lasting 90") per month for 6 months. The group will be structured to maximize your learning of ACT and can include a number of things. We can explore everything from initial implementation to using ACT with specific clients. We will be flexible to meet the groups needs.
